Bucket, I’m No Good at Hats

Yeah, so I’m really not good at choosing fabric for hats. I don’t know why I didn’t just stick to my original plan of making these Little Things bucket hats just like the ones in the book. I thought this large-scale gingham (of which I had a ton) would make a super cute hat, but as soon as I cut out the pieces I realized I had a Bear Bryant hat on my hands. Not bad if you’re an Alabama fan, but I’m not.

So let’s just enjoy how cute my Turtle looks in it, even if its stylishness is questionable.

She was nice enough to model it for me while we drew outside with out sidewalk chalk. I apparently need to expand my doodling repertoire, since she asked me to draw a frog and I didn’t even know where to start. What ended up on the sidewalk was definitely not recognizable as a frog.

And one more, just because I think it’s hilarious. Hey, it was the end of a long day…
