The first “real” garment I made for Stella was the Bubble Dress. I was so proud of myself, and that dress is still one of my favorite things I’ve made. I can’t believe that was almost two years ago, wow. Since its been so long I thought I would give it a whirl again.
The fabric, Washi Tape, is from the amazing Rashida Coleman-Hale. From the moment I laid eyes on it, I knew we had to be together.
This dress is so flippin sweet. And Stella loves it. I mean, couldn’t wait to put it on and cried when I made her take it off.
Those sleeves. Le sigh.
Oh, such attitude.
My dear daughter has a thing for rocks. She gifts me with a “special” one almost daily.
Just beautiful.
I love this dress! Not only am I totally obsessed with the washi tape, but the shape of that little dress is very sweet. I have some washi leftover from a project….maybe it will find itself in a dress soon.
that is BEAUTIFUL! she looks really happy with it, too!
Love the dress and the fabric was a great choice. Seeing your great dress makes me want to sew another one now. I have 2 planned for my daughters for Easter dresses so I will be sewing them soon enough. Might have to pick up a little bit of that fabric too for a skirt or top for one of my girls!
GORGEOUS! I adore this fabric – have it on my wish list – I may copy this, Camille!
Thanks everyone for the compliments!
Wow she is growing up! I need to make that dress…
